Susan Josephs is a Los Angeles-based writer and interdisciplinary artist. A graduate of UCLA and veteran journalist, she worked for many years specializing in arts coverage and feature stories as a regular contributor to the Los Angeles Times Calendar section and Jewish Woman Magazine. She has also published articles, profiles and essays in over a dozen other publications including Salon, LA Weekly, the Chicago Tribune and ARTnews. Most recently, she has applied her journalistic expertise as a content writer for businesses and organizations.

Susan began writing for the theater after performing in numerous off-off Broadway productions as an actress and dancer. Her plays “The Manhattan Bible” and “Un-Lonely Planet” were produced at the 92nd Street Y and Theater for the New City. She has also collaborated with performing artists as a dramaturge, most recently with the choreographer Maria Gillespie. Her latest play “The Interview” received its world premiere in October 2013 at Studio/Stage in Los Angeles, directed by L.A.-based theater artist Diana Wyenn. Currently, she is at work on a new play.
